Job summary

City of New York HPD seeks a Construction Project Manager to oversee HPD-financed multi-family housing construction across the five boroughs, ensuring quality and compliance with city, state, and federal codes and contract documents.

The ideal candidate has five years of construction supervision experience, knowledge of NYC building regulations, and a valid NY driver license. Salary reflects USD 90,000–100,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Five years of full-time satisfactory experience managing and/or inspecting one or more construction projects with total cost at least $300,000 per year.
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a New York State motor vehicle driver license.
• Candidates must specify construction project details including money allocated and time period.

Responsibilities

• Perform field work with minimal supervision and monitor multiple projects for cost-effective, timely completion.
• Oversee rehabilitation and/or new construction of multi-family projects in NYC.
• Understand construction contracts, scheduling, site safety, and cost controls.
• Assess feasibility of construction work and supervise contractors/vendors.
