Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Inspector I for our Columbia, MD office to perform daily site inspections and quality assurance on water/sewer construction projects. You will work as part of the CM Team to ensure plans and codes are followed and records are maintained.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of inspection experience, proficient MS Office skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma required.
• 0-2 years of construction inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting underground water/sewer pipeline construction or related field.
• Familiar with construction inspection principles, field practices and record-keeping.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specs and codes and maintain project records.
• Review construction quantities and verify installed quantities.
• Perform quality assurance on installed materials.
• Act as the Owner's agent in the construction process.
• Read submittals, RFIs, change orders, and as-built drawings.
