Job summary

STRATA provides geotechnical engineering, construction inspection and materials testing services. A Special Inspector role is opening in Twin Falls, Idaho, with field observations and testing to ensure compliance with codes and project specs.

Qualified candidates should hold ACI/ICC certification in concrete testing, 1–3 years of Special Inspector experience, and strong report-writing skills. Travel to remote sites and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• ACI and/or ICC certification in concrete field testing, soils, reinforced concrete.
• 1-3 years of Special Inspector experience.
• Team approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate a basic computer to prepare reports.
• Experience with Microsoft software.
• Professional manner and client-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field construction observation and material testing to verify compliance with codes, specs and contracts.
• Collect samples and perform QA/QC tests per AASHTO, ATM, and IBC standards.
• Compile detailed records of observations, inspections and results; report timely.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate field and lab testing equipment.
• Assist lab testing per QMS, project requirements and national standards.
