Flint Hills Resources Pipeline and Terminals seeks an Inspector/Construction Manager to join our Operations Group in Texas. Lead on-site efforts for cleaning, inspection, and repair of storage tanks and pipeline stations, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution.

This role requires coordinating contractor activities, enforcing safety and environmental expectations, and administering daily safe work permits; extensive field time (80%) and travel may be required based on site needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project planning, jobsite safety management, contractor coordination and oversight in an industrial setting.
• Experience with API 650 tank construction.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel up to 75-90%, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute project plans developed by the FHR Projects Group, ensuring safe, responsible, and cost-effective execution.
• Support cleaning, inspection, and repair of storage tanks and related equipment.
• Develop detailed written work plans and procedures for site work execution.
• Administer daily safe work permits to contractors and set expectations around activities, hazards, and risk mitigation.
• Provide quality control oversight to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and business expectations.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and site personnel to support safe, timely, high-quality execution.
• Maintain and issue project turnover documentation, including red-lined drawings, OQ records, inspection documentation, and change requests.
• Spend significant time in the field (at least 80%), including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
