Qualifications

• Field inspectors evaluate construction at multiple stages to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Perform field inspections of buildings during construction and remodeling to ensure compliance with city, county, state and federal codes.
• Submit reports detailing non-compliance to builders and issue stop work orders when necessary.
• Answer questions from developers, contractors, businesses, homeowners or citizens about building regulations and provide code information.
• Assist contractors and designers in developing alternative ideas to meet code and ordinance requirements.
• Perform complex inspections in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, structural and finish trades.
• Review plans and specifications in the field.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
