Job summary

Abaris Real Estate Management Inc. is seeking a Field Inspector to serve as the eyes in the communities we manage. You will walk properties, document conditions, and generate timely, accurate reports for managers and boards.

This role offers a pathway to Assistant Manager and Property Manager positions as you demonstrate initiative and reliability. Expect frequent outdoor inspections, driving between sites, and professional communication with residents and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to document things the same way every time
• Clear written and spoken communication
• Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for photos, forms, and data entry
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Able to walk large properties, climb stairs, and work outdoors in all seasons
• Interest in a long term career in community association management
• Experience in property management, inspections, code enforcement, or building trades is helpful but not required. We’ll train you.

Responsibilities

• Do routine exterior and common area inspections at assigned communities, using Abaris standard inspection forms
• Find and photograph covenant and rules violations, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and architectural changes that weren’t approved
• Enter accurate, detailed reports with photos into our management software by the deadline
• Help with unit, move in/move out, and resale inspections when asked
• Follow up on reported issues and check that repairs were finished
• Talk professionally with residents, contractors, and on-site staff while in the field
• Work with Community Managers to prioritize findings and support board reporting
• Keep a regular inspection schedule across multiple properties

As a Field Inspector, you’ll be our eyes in the communities we manage. You’ll walk properties, write down what you see, and give our managers and boards accurate, timely reports. This role is also built as a pathway. Inspectors who do well and show initiative can move into Assistant Manager and Property Manager roles at Abaris over time.

Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
