Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking an Industrial Installation Technician to install and commission positioning equipment at customer facilities across the country. This hands-on role involves setup, leveling, alignment, testing, and validating operation, with travel up to 75% and occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with installation, startup, and servicing industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and make sound field decisions.
• Strong communication skills for teaching operators and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission positioning equipment at customer facilities (setup, leveling, alignment, testing).
• Independently manage field assignments and collaborate on complex installs.
• Serve as a trusted on-site resource, communicating with plant personnel and answering questions.
• Train operators and maintenance teams on operation, routine care, and preventive maintenance.
• Evaluate site conditions and coordinate with customers and internal teams for project readiness.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues during installation and startup.
• Travel approximately 75% of the time from Rock Island, IL facility.
