Job summary

AWC, Inc. in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician I - Field Services to support electrical systems at customer sites and in our shop.

You will perform field service, inspections, startup assistance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment while collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Project teams. Based primarily in our electrical shop with occasional travel across Louisiana, you will read electrical schematics, assemble control panels, wire MCCs, and help

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service including inspections, troubleshooting, startup, and repair of industrial equipment.
• Assemble and wire control panels from schematics and drawings.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and documentation for installations.
• Coordinate with project teams to support customer projects and service activities.
• Maintain documentation of service work and ensure quality of completed assemblies.
