Job summary
A leading control systems provider in Louisiana is seeking a Field Control Service Technician. This role involves providing service and support for various electronic and hydraulic control systems, including troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment. The technician will travel primarily along the US Gulf Coast, with additional responsibilities in the shop when needed. Candidates should have knowledge of electronic systems, a high school diploma, and ideally an associate’s degree in a related field.
Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of electronic and mechanical equipment and systems.
Understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Clear driving record per company guidelines.
Responsibilities
Prepare for assignments by studying wiring diagrams and specifications.
Travel to jobsites in a provided vehicle, primarily along the Gulf Coast.
Verify that equipment is properly installed and functioning.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment and systems.
Report and modify PLC issues as instructed.
Participate in the on-call rotation.
Skills
Excellent knowledge of electronic and mechanical equipment and systems
Understanding of PLC
Education
High School diploma; Associate’s degree through technical school preferred
Vocational training in electronics
3 years of experience
