Job summary

FLANDERS Inc. in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Field Electrical Technician to support Field Service Engineers at customer sites. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair control systems, motors, and VFDs, while on-the-job training is provided by Field Engineers.

Responsibilities include completing service documentation, time and expense reporting, and maintaining tools. Strong communication and math skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Three years electrical experience in a shop, field service and/or similar environment.
• Mining and metals industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC and/or VFD systems for machine troubleshooting.
• Strong math skills and ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues as they relate to control systems and their components and motors.
• Identify and assist with repair needs.
• Receive on-the-job training from Field Engineers.
• Complete necessary service documentation.
• Maintain tools and test equipment properly.
• Communicate with customers on technical questions and specifications in accordance with Field Service Engineers' directions.
• Complete necessary service, time tracking, and expense documentation.
• Ensure that all completed work meets Flanders' Standards and ISO Quality System.
