Job summary

Cyclonaire- Pneumatic Conveying Solutions in York, Nebraska seeks an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join the Automation team. You will handle programming, troubleshooting, and field commissioning across manufacturing and customer sites.

You will lead commissioning projects, support electrical design, and program PLCs/HMI devices while collaborating with customers and service teams to solve technical challenges. This role requires travel and strong electrical/automation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or an Associate Degree in a technical field with 5+ years of related experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered
Past plant electrical or electromechanical support experience
Strong knowledge of industrial automation controls programming, design, and troubleshooting
Understanding of instrumentation and control hardware/software
Familiarity with VFDs and motor control circuits
Experience with industrial networking and network equipment configuration
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide programming and electromechanical support for automated process equipment and control systems
Serve as technical lead on commissioning projects
Troubleshoot equipment and provide technical direction to customers and service technicians
Assist with electrical design and programming for new equipment
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other system devices
Work with industrial automation controls, motor control circuits, VFDs, instrumentation, and networks
Develop testing processes, procedures, and checklists to ensure product quality
Assist with mechanical troubleshooting, tuning, and repairs
Develop data collection and analysis systems to troubleshoot and validate performance
Prepare design packages: panel layouts, diagrams, schedules, and cabling plans
Develop user manuals and training materials
Collaborate with customers and Cyclonaire team to solve challenges
