Job summary

Pegasus Support Services, LLC in the El Centro area seeks an HVAC Mechanic to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems on CBP facilities. Travel to multiple work sites and respond to afterhours emergencies as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CFC licensing, and several years of industrial HVAC experience, with the ability to work independently and safely. Valid driver's license and DHS access are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or GED, CFC air conditioning license, plus TDLR certification.
• CFC Universal certificate as a stated credential.
• Must maintain a valid state Driver's License and DHS facility access.
• At least 3 years in operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial/industrial HVAC & refrigeration.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and air conditioning principles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs HVAC/R problems.
• Maintains and inspects mechanical and electrical components.
• Installs temporary and permanent units.
• Uses hand and power tools for installations and repairs.
• Interacts with customers to determine problems and repair requirements.
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Responds to service orders and afterhours calls.
