Job summary

Weis Markets seeks a Store Service Supervisor to lead refrigeration and HVAC activities across multiple locations. You will supervise Service Technicians and contractors, ensure EPA-compliant refrigerant handling, and coordinate repairs and installations for new stores and remodels.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary training in refrigeration (or equivalent experience) and previous experience working on HVAC/R systems required.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Store Service Technicians and outside contractors to ensure EPA regulations for refrigerants and oils are followed.
• Instruct and review job performance, safety practices, preventive maintenance, and policy compliance with technicians.
• Interview applicants, provide orientation, supervise training, and perform periodic performance reviews.
• Oversee installation of refrigeration equipment during store construction and remodels, coordinating with other trades.
• Coordinate energy management gear installations and ensure operation for optimum efficiency.
• Review service reports, time sheets and invoices to ensure compliance with policy and timely processing.
• Assemble a Store Book with as-built changes and energy management system details for each store.
• Develop new programs to address EPA rules, recalls, and new equipment training.
• Provide recommendations to improve store design and construction practices.
