Job summary

Rosendin in Sterling, VA is seeking an HSE Manager I to lead safety programs on active construction sites. This mid-level role develops and implements site safety plans, mentors junior team members, and coordinates with field leadership, subcontractors, and customers to keep projects safe and productive.

You’ll identify hazards, conduct incident investigations, deliver safety training, review procedures, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO, and company standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year related degree; CHST certification preferred or 7 years related experience with CHST.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and document corrective actions; ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in pre-construction safety planning and site-specific safety plans.
• Deliver safety training based on program and personnel needs.
• Lead injury and incident investigations; analyze and share lessons learned.
• Mentor junior safety team members and coordinate with field leadership and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO procedures, and company standards.
• Review Step-by-Steps and MOPs; issue and monitor permits as required.
