Position Summary

The Field House Attendant keeps Victory Fields running smoothly during operating hours. This is a mostly independent, front-line role — you will typically be the only staff member on-site during your shift, responsible for opening and operating the concessions stand, keeping the facility and fields presentable and well-lit, and communicating inventory and facility needs to management. It is a straightforward job, but because you will be working on your own and are the face our players and families see, we are looking for someone who is both dependable and genuinely welcoming — punctual, reliable, and warm with every guest. We are hiring two people for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and operate the concessions stand during assigned shifts — set up the area, stock product, and serve players, parents, and guests.
• Process sales accurately through the Square POS system; handle cash and card transactions and reconcile at close.
• Monitor concessions inventory and proactively notify the Operations Manager when items are running low or need restocking.
• Turn on the field lights at dusk and ensure the fields are properly lit for evening play.
• Attend to the fields and facility — keep concessions, seating, and common areas clean, tidy, and presentable throughout the shift.
• Promptly report any maintenance, safety, or facility issues to management.
• Enforce the no-outside-food-or-drink policy and follow all cleanliness and food-handling standards.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned, including securing the concessions area at end of shift.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and represent Victory Fields positively to all guests.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Reliable and punctual — dependable attendance is essential to this role.
• Warm and welcoming — makes players, parents, and guests feel at home.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
• Friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude and clear communication.
• Comfortable working alone for most of the shift and following through without on-site supervision.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Prior concessions, retail, or customer service experience is a plus but not required — training is provided.
