Job summary

GBMC HealthCare's Hospice Home Care Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing and supportive care to terminally ill patients and their families. The nurse identifies care needs for patients, families, and facilities, coordinating with the Team Manager to ensure compassionate, patient-centered care throughout home-based services.

Required are a Maryland RN license, ADN/BSN from an accredited program, and at least two years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years of nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.

Job description

The Hospice Home Care Nurse reports to the Team Manager. He/she is responsible for identifying patient/family/facility care needs, and for providing nursing and supportive care for the terminally ill patient and their families.

Education: Diploma, ADN and/or BSN from an accredited institution

Licensures/Certifications:

• Current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse

Experience: Two years of nursing experience, or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Skills:

• Knowledgeable of universal precautions for infection control and practices safe nursing standards for self protection
• Strong time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to be patient and family focused
• Skill in the use of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and/or ability to learn

Pay Range

$32.18 - $49.46

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
