Bridgewater State University seeks an Assistant Coach - Field Hockey (part-time, non-benefited, exempt) to work with the head coach and athletic staff. You will plan practices, teach skills, and monitor student-athlete academic progress.

Coordinate year-round instruction, assist in recruiting and fundraising, and ensure adherence to NCAA bylaws. Evening/weekend availability is required; a Bachelor's degree or relevant coaching/playing experience is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant coaching and/or playing experience required.
• Successful completion of NCAA Division III Rules Test for Coaches by the 2nd full week.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents, faculty, staff and community.
• Current First Aid / CPR (AED) certification required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs with appropriate accommodation.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the head coach in teaching skills and strategies for field hockey.
• Coach team members individually and in groups; demonstrate techniques.
• Plan and direct team practices to develop student-athlete skills.
• Develop strategy, teach theoretical skills and position assignments.
• Coordinate year-round instruction per NCAA bylaws.
• Monitor academic progress toward graduation.
• Support recruiting plans and community outreach.
• Contribute to fundraising and alumni relations.
• Ensure compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules.
