Matthai Material Handling & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Forklift Technician / Field Service Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty material handling equipment at customer sites across Virginia. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostics and hands‑on expertise.

This field‑based role offers a competitive hourly rate ($23–$38) with a $1,500 sign-on bonus, no nights or weekends, and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic instincts and safety-first mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to keep local businesses running.
• Hit the road across your assigned territory—no fixed shop location.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to standards.
• Log service work via mobile dispatch and communicate updates clearly.
