Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation on projects across the Big Island seeks an Equipment Specialist responsible for maintenance, repair, and readiness of heavy construction equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance on excavators, dozers, loaders, and other machinery, diagnose issues, and ensure safe operation while coordinating with site teams.

This role requires 3–5 years of experience, knowledge of diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems, ability to read manuals and schematics, and a valid

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic charts.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on excavators, dozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Execute repairs, replacements, and adjustments to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, parts used, and equipment status.
• Order and manage spare parts and consumables for equipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and safety inspections on equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and operators to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Travel to various job sites on the Big Island as required.
