Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, a leading utility construction firm, is seeking a field-based operator who will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania. Operate backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines for underground utilities installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation.
  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a pre-employmentdrug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Operates equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers and bore machines for installation/maintenance of underground utilities.
  • Embrace H&M’s safety culture including safe operation of equipment and appropriate PPE; participate in daily/weekly safety talks.
  • Place or maintain underground utilities such as digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, handholes, and manholes, backfilling and compacting.
  • Perform daily maintenance of equipment, fluids, greasing, and routine checks.
  • Familiar with OSHA trench safety regulations.
