Job Summary

This is a field-based role requiring daily travel to job sites, primarily in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

1. Operate various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines for installing or maintaining underground utilities, along with other duties as directed by the foreman.
2. Embrace H&M’s safety culture, including safe equipment operation, proper PPE use, and participation in safety talks.
3. Assist in placing or maintaining underground utilities, which may involve digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, handholes, manholes, backfilling, and compacting.
4. Perform daily maintenance on equipment, such as fluid checks, greasing, and routine servicing.
5. Be familiar with OSHA regulations regarding trench safety.

Qualifications

1. At least two years of experience in construction, excavation, or heavy equipment operation preferred.
2. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license; CDL A license preferred.
3. High School Diploma or equivalent.
4. Must pass pre-employment drug testing and be subject to random testing.
