Job summary

Empire field service technician position available to repair and service Caterpillar and allied equipment in the field. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, recondition machinery, prepare service reports, and travel to remote sites as needed. Strong communication and safety adherence are essential.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and DOT credentials if required. At least 6 months related experience and English proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current driver’s license required.
• DOT licensing, medical card and endorsements as vehicle size dictates.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience.
• Must communicate in English.
• Completion of TRAIN test evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
• Own and maintain required personal tools.
• Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned.
