Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy-duty or diesel repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time in a field environment.
• Experience with mobile or field service preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred, depending on role).
• Ability to meet DOT requirements (if applicable).
• Relevant certifications (ASE or OEM training) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, and drivetrains.
• Respond to mobile service calls and emergency breakdowns as needed.
• Operate and maintain a service truck, ensuring proper tools, parts, and inventory are stocked.
• Accurately document work performed, parts used, and labor time.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and recommendations.
• Follow all DOT, safety, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully equipped service vehicle.
• Coordinate with dispatch and shop team to prioritize and complete service calls efficiently.
