Job Summary

This role involves repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts both in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, developing repair plans and sequences.
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, including quality assurance testing.
• Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, service, and work orders.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
• Manage parts and tools through the company systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, vibration, and noise levels from moderate to loud.
