Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Project Health & Safety Professional to support contaminated-site management and environmental remediation projects nationwide. The role combines field audits, on-site safety representation, and robust documentation to promote compliance and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of construction-related health and safety experience.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals credential (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and health and safety audits for contaminated-site management, environmental-remediation, construction, and related field activities.
• Serve as onsite health and safety representative, working with project teams, clients, and contractors to promote compliance with requirements.
• Observe field activities, identify hazards, communicate findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety audit reports, field documentation, and observations.
• Communicate health and safety expectations to staff, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support development and evaluation of project-specific health and safety plans and procedures.
• Apply knowledge of contaminated-site management and environmental-remediation activities when evaluating hazards and controls.
• Split time between field and office assignments.
• Provide training and informal mentoring on safe work practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of field activities and evaluations.
• Travel to project sites across the United States, potentially up to 80%.
