Job summary

Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Project Health & Safety Professional to support health and safety across contaminated-site management and environmental remediation projects. The role combines field audits with office work, traveling up to 80% to client sites nationwide.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and 4+ years of experience, plus a CSP/ASP/CHST/OHST credential. A strong emphasis on documentation and communication, and proficiency with MS Office, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of construction related health and safety experience.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals credential (CSP/ASP/CHST/OHST).
• Experience conducting field safety audits, assessments, site visits, and onsite safety representation.
• Familiarity with contaminated-site management and environmental-remediation.
• Strong documentation and verbal communication skills; proficiency with MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and perform health and safety audits and assessments for contaminated-site management, environmental remediation, construction, and related activities.
• Serve as the onsite health and safety representative, collaborating with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure compliance.
• Observe field activities, identify hazards, communicate findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety audit reports, field documentation, and health and safety records.
• Communicate safety expectations and findings to project personnel and stakeholders.
• Support development and evaluation of project-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Travel to project sites across the United States, up to ~80%.
• Provide training and mentorship on safe work practices.
