Job summary

Cornerstone Habitat & Land Management in Ohio is seeking a Habitat Technician to perform conservation practices, herbicide applications, and silvicultural work under supervision. The role offers hands-on field work and opportunities for advancement.

Starting wage is $18/hour with a raise to $20/hour after a 90-day probation; promotion to Habitat Specialist after one year. Training and safety equipment are provided; a valid driver's license is required and physical endurance is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Associate’s degree or higher in an environmental field.
• At least 12 months experience with equipment operation and herbicide application.
• Willingness to become a trained serviceperson within 30 days of probation.

Responsibilities

• Apply herbicides to invasive plants and manage vegetation per plans.
• Read maps and navigate to remote work locations on foot or by vehicle.
• Follow safety and maintenance protocols for field equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned in a field crew.
