Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California is seeking an engineer for GNSS validation across prototype to post-release phases, focusing on location and fitness applications. You will collect real‑time data, perform post‑processing, and present findings to senior management.

You will design and execute GNSS/Location test plans, prepare devices for field testing, and travel to test locations to perform automated and manual evaluations, contributing to product experiences with precise localization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Science fields required plus Academic or industry experience in GNSS/Location/Wireless technologies
• Excited and quick to learn new areas in GNSS and other RF/wireless technologies
• Willingness to travel to test locations to conduct automated and manual test procedures
• Able to work independently with strong multitasking and time management skills
• Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience as an individual contributor with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Develop and run GNSS/Location test plan with focus on customer experience for location and fitness use cases.
• Prepare test devices for field testing which includes physical setup, software install and upkeep.
• Travel to test locations for executing field evaluations in stationary and mobility conditions.
• Post processing of diagnostic logs and conducting preliminary debug during and post field test execution.
• Generate system performance test reports with key performance indicators.
• Identify issues impacting HW/System performance and perform deep‑dive analysis.
• Work with team members and 3rd party vendors spread across various time zones.
• Improve current processes and maintain documentation.
• Manage device inventory and equipment logistics used for lab and field testing.
