Job summary

The Field Glazier is a skilled trades position focused on installing curtainwalls, storefront framing members, and glass for service and contract projects. The role requires interpreting drawings, selecting and fabricating materials, and applying glazing systems with precision.

Responsibilities include fabricating and installing components per standards, maintaining safety, reading shop drawings, and ensuring customer satisfaction across projects. Travel may be required to job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 3–5 years glazing experience preferred; OSHA safety training preferred.
• Knowledge of storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems.
• Ability to read shop drawings.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license preferred and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Install storefronts, curtainwalls, entrances, and glass according to standards.
• Interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings as required.
• Develop and cut materials from cut lists with limited supervision when required.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, and related materials as required.
• Maintain knowledge of glazing systems, hardware items, and installation procedures.
• Operate battery-powered and electric-powered hand tools safely and effectively.
• Support quality work on all assigned projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety policies.
• Use tools and equipment safely while promoting safety and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers and embrace a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain professionalism and quality work while supporting company goals and customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Field Glazier is responsible for installing curtainwall and storefront framing members and glass for service and contract projects. This position works with a variety of glazing systems and performs fabrication and installation activities while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

• Install storefronts, curtainwalls, entrances, and glass according to AGM and manufacturer standards.
• Interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings as required.
• Identify the differences between storefront and curtainwall systems.
• Develop and cut materials from cut lists with limited supervision when required.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, and related materials as required.
• Maintain knowledge of glazing systems, hardware items, and installation procedures for various glazing products.
• Operate battery-powered and electric-powered hand tools safely and effectively.
• Support quality work on all assigned projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers and embrace a team-oriented environment.
