Job summary

Origin Mining Company is seeking a Geo-Tech (Sampler) to join our geology team on site in an outdoor mining environment. You will coordinate sampling activities with drilling crews, identify drillholes requiring samples (including duplicates for QC), and create/label sample tags matching blast hole IDs.

You will deliver samples to the assay lab, maintain paperwork, manage supplies, and assist surveyors and technicians as needed while upholding safety standards and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Outdoor mine or manufacturing plant setting; exposure to extreme temperatures/humidity
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Willingness to wear respirator and pass fit test

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with drilling and blasting
• Identify drillholes for sampling including duplicates for QC
• Create sample tags matching blast hole IDs
• Label blast holes and collect cuttings per SOP
• Submit and maintain sample delivery paperwork
• Deliver samples to the assay lab for analysis
• Monitor sampling supplies and place orders
• Maintain blasthole pulp inventory on site
• Assist mine surveyors and lab technicians as needed
• Organize and maintain drill campaign samples
