Job summary

Roux is seeking a Field Technician in New Jersey to support project teams and the Project Manager with field operations, sampling, and technical assistance on environmental investigation and remediation projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, at least 1 year of environmental consulting experience, and the ability to work independently in the field, oversee subcontractors, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of environmental consulting experience.
• Proficient in field sampling, overseeing subcontractors, and directing junior staff.
• Experience with drilling techniques (direct push, hollow stem, sonic) and sampling soils, groundwater, and vapor.
• Ability to work independently in the field and perform preliminary data evaluation.
• Assist in preparing major report components (tables, figures, appendices).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field project work including drilling, monitoring, sampling and subcontractor oversight.
• Prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and deliverables.
• Analyze field data to ensure effective project completion.
