Job summary

Roux Associates Inc. is seeking a field-oriented environmental professional to support project teams in Los Angeles-area projects. The role involves field sampling, drilling oversight, and collaboration with subcontractors to execute environmental investigations and remediation tasks.

You will prepare and review data, figures, and site descriptions while mentoring junior staff and advancing project management skills. This is a hands-on position requiring travel to sites and field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 1 year of environmental consulting experience.
• Proficient in performing routine field activities including sampling techniques, overseeing subcontractors, and directing junior field staff.
• Experience overseeing drilling techniques (direct push, hollow stem, sonic) and collecting soil, groundwater, and vapor samples.
• Ability to work independently in the field and perform preliminary data evaluation and analytical tasks.
• Assist in preparing major components of routine deliverables (tables, figures, appendices).
• Support the technical growth of Staff I level professionals and manage tasks to develop project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Field Project Activities: Coordinate and implement field project work; oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling of environmental media, treatment systems, and subcontractors.
• Data Analysis and Report Preparation: Prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and other details to ensure report completeness; analyze field data for project completion.
