Job summary

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a full-time Staff Geologist/Staff Environmental Scientist to support a broad range of environmental projects, from Phase I ESAs to remediation system monitoring.

You will perform field work, collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and ensure health and safety practices. Excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science required.
• 0–2 years of environmental-related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors, traverse moderate terrain and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Technical writing competency.
• Strong technical and computer skills.
• Self-starter with effective communication and quick learning.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• GIS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support on environmental projects including Emergency Response and Phase I ESAs.
• Perform soil and groundwater characterization, air sampling, and monitoring tasks.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems and collect field data.
• Prepare daily reports and provide data to Senior Scientists.
