Job summary

D2B Groups LLC is seeking skilled generator technicians to join their service team in the Midland, TX area. You’ll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas and diesel engines, generator sets, and related power systems, in shop or on-site settings.

Choose local, field, rotational, or relocation-friendly schedules with overtime and travel to get you home as agreed. Training and a company truck support your development and success.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing natural gas and diesel engines and generator sets.
• Willingness to travel and stay on site for rotational hitch.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas and diesel engines, generator sets, and related power systems.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, oil sampling, component replacement, and ATS work.
• Use diagnostic software and service tools (SIS, ET, and related systems) to pinpoint issues and verify repairs.
• Complete jobs within standard times while minimizing comebacks.
• Document work accurately: work orders, parts orders, job safety analyses, and service reports.
• Communicate clearly with customers, service coordinators, and parts staff; provide accurate repair quotes when needed.
• Follow all safety, contamination control, and HAZMAT procedures on every job.
• Hands-on experience as a generator technician and experience with large commercial and industrial units.
• Working knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines and their supporting systems.
• Your own tools appropriate to your level.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to qualify to drive a company vehicle.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and, for rotational roles, to travel and stay on site for the full hitch.

Job description

D2B Groups is partnering with an established dealer to build out its generator service team. They support customers running gas and diesel engines and generator packages, and they are hiring technicians at mid and senior levels.

This is not a one-size-fits-all role. You pick the setup that fits your life: work in the shop or in the field, and live local, work a rotational schedule, or relocate. If you know engines and want a dealer that invests in its people, we want to talk to you.

Choose Your Path:

• Field Technician
  • Take a company service truck to customer sites to troubleshoot and repair equipment where it runs. Independent work, direct customer contact, never the same day twice.
• Local
  • Live within commuting distance of [Location] and work a standard schedule with overtime available.
• Rotational
  • Work a set rotation, typically 14 days on and 7 days off. Travel to the assigned location and lodge there for the duration of each hitch, then go home for your days off. [Travel/lodging/per diem details]
• Relocation
