Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a field specialist to repair and maintain pipelines, compressor stations and related facilities. The role involves safely operating equipment, coordinating with crews, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will plan work, interpret technical drawings, and manage inventory and outages while maintaining accurate records. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required, with experience levels defined by the job level.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station or pump station equipment, plant facilities and pipeline facilities.
• Plan, organize, prioritize, communicate, and coordinate work with employees and contractors.
• Provide budgetary information, schedule outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate resources.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, OEM manuals and other technical resources.
• Use hand and power tools and operate equipment safely in hazardous environments.
• Maintain equipment records, logs and regulatory documentation.
• Provide training and leadership to develop work crews.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• Participate in safety programs and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
