Job summary

Southern Cross, LLC is hiring a full-time Gas Leak Survey Technician to inspect gas lines and determine leak origins and severity. You will be trained to detect, locate, and evaluate gas leaks and report them to the local gas company.

Travel up to 75% and the role may require weekends; company vehicle provided for most duties. Training lasts 4–5 weeks and is paid; lifting and walking several miles daily in varied outdoor environments, adhering to safety policies, and using technology effectively

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technology as needed.
• Able to travel up to 75% of the time, including weekends.
• Effective communication with customers and understanding safety policies.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas lines and pipes to locate and evaluate leaks.
• Detect, locate, and report leaks to the local gas company.
• Drive a company vehicle; training may require using a personal vehicle initially.
• Walk long distances daily and perform field duties in various environments.
