Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Springfield, MA is hiring a Leak Survey Technician to inspect gas distribution facilities, collect field data, and report issues promptly. The role includes both indoor and outdoor work across residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Gas detection experience is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with benefits, PTO, and a company vehicle provided after successful training.

Qualifications

• Safety adherence to procedures and PPE usage.
• Ability to report unsafe or abnormal conditions promptly.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Accurately detect and classify gas leaks during inspections performed inside and outside.
• Process required data accurately and timely.
• Complete required paperwork and sketches and meet completion dates.
• Maintain, operate, and secure all assigned equipment.
• Achieve weekly billable goals as defined by project guidelines.
• Identify and report any Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOCs).
• Read and interpret Gas Company maps and records.
• Work in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
