Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd is seeking a proactive Gas Engineer / Meter Installer to join the Customer Engineering team, delivering service and emergency response to customers in Inverness and surrounding areas. The role includes full training and a competitive salary depending on experience.

You will install and maintain bulk LPG tanks and assets, travel across a largely rural network, and participate in standby rota for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas Qualified.
• Full Manual UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care.
• Knowledge of LPG and installation/maintenance of bulk LPG tanks would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Willingness to follow procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
• Travel (van and fuel provided) to meet service standards for a largely rural customer base.
• Participate in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal hours; additional pay applies.
