Job summary

Alliance Material Handling is seeking experienced forklift mechanics/field service technicians to operate in the Akron area. This field-based role starts from home, travels to customer sites, and includes a company-provided truck with a gas card. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Akron, Ohio; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

Experience as forklift mechanic, diesel mechanic, or equipment technician.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently in the field.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and own tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts (electric, gas, LP).
Service industrial batteries and chargers.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
Travel to customer sites throughout the day.
Communicate repairs and recommendations directly with customers.
