Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager II to own quality on a capital project from the owner's or EPC's side, writing the project quality plan and leading audits of contractors and suppliers.

You will report quality performance to the project manager and the owner's quality organization, manage nonconformances, and drive lessons learned; travel to jobsites is required as projects mandate. This role advances to higher levels within the program.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects.
• 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification.
• ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and contractor/supplier quality requirements derived from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
