Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support remediation and compliance projects at sites with multi‑media contamination in the Georgia region. You will conduct field investigations, environmental audits, and data analysis, coordinating with engineers, chemists, and hydrogeologists to deliver compliant reports.

The role involves travel and fieldwork, including overnight stays as needed, and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering.
• 1–4 years of experience.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with GIS, CADD, and database software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field investigations and remediation/abatement of soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and hazardous building materials.
• Site health and safety planning and ensuring safe work practices.
• Coordinate and assist with scheduling field investigations.
• Prepare Phase I ESAs, sampling/analysis reports, and regulatory submittals.
• Fieldwork including travel, coordinating with teams, and data collection.
• Oversee field data collection, sampling events and field analysis.
• Perform aquifer testing and groundwater flow evaluations.
• Environmental, health, and safety compliance sampling and audits.
• Assist with report generation to meet client and industry requirements.
