Amrize is seeking an Environmental Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Middleton, MA. This 10-week, paid internship offers hands-on experience in environmental practices at a cement plant, with opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

You will work closely with the team, engage with field staff, and present learnings to leadership at the end of the internship. This onsite program requires commitment to a full-time schedule during the summer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
• A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• As an Environmental Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our team to ensure that our cement plant operates in an environmentally responsible manner.
• You will play a key role in evaluating and improving our environmental practices.
• Engage with employees in the field to refine and implement environmental procedures.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of environmental initiatives, contributing ideas.
• Conduct daily interactions with plant employees and contractors, providing guidance on environmental practices and procedures.
• Perform regular environmental inspections, monitoring, and testing of equipment, processes, and emissions.
