Job summary

Lime is seeking an in-field mechanic to maintain a fleet of shared vehicles in Raleigh, NC. This contracted, third-party role involves on-site maintenance, safety checks, and supporting battery and parts management in the local market.

You will also assist with deployment and retrieval of Lime vehicles, sometimes working evenings or weekends. Ideal candidates are 21+ with a valid license, comfortable with lifting, and capable of performing quick field repairs.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a valid driver license
• Previous experience in a similar vehicle maintenance role preferred
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (30 kg) frequently
• Ability to work varied shifts including evenings/weekends
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet compliance and perform quality checks for deployment
• Perform basic maintenance in/out of warehouse
• Follow safety procedures to keep Lime riders safe
• Support battery management with accurate documentation and checks
• Maintain safety/hygiene standards in the warehouse
• Maximize operational vehicles by completing tasks efficiently
• Operate pallet jack or push cart safely
• Identify issues and perform small field repairs (brakes, tires, cleaning)
• Manage parts inventories and forecast demand
• Monitor zones for parking compliance and tidiness
• Report unusual field situations; assist customers when needed
• Safely operate a van or bikes/cargo bikes/e-scooters for deployment/retrieval
