Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, service, and maintain fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers across commercial and industrial sites. The role is field-based with hands-on work and growth opportunities through training and mentorship.

Applicants typically have 1–3 years of fire suppression experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Travel within the assigned territory and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of fire suppression system service experience.
• High school diploma or GED; technical/industry experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with interest in hands-on life safety work.
• Comfort using hand tools and basic equipment; willingness to learn more.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or in tight spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in territory.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and recharge kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ensure work meets NFPA and local code requirements.
• Document work performed and communicate findings and next steps to customers and internal teams.
• Represent Encore professionally on every job site and provide a customer-focused experience.
• Work independently in the field and as part of a team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
