Job summary

Fire Equipment Inc. is seeking an on-site Fire Alarm Technician in Agawam, MA to service, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems for a loyal customer base. This field-based role supports project coordination and customer interaction as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience and holds RI Fire Alarm Lic; MA Electrician License is a plus. OSHA 10 certification is preferred, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills throughout daily fieldwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• RI Fire Alarm Lic required; Mass and CT preferred.
• MA Electrician License and RI/CT Fire Alarm License preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience servicing, inspecting, or installing fire alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm systems for scheduled customers.
• Conduct system testing and inspections to prescribed standards and codes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults; perform repairs as needed.
• Identify code compliance issues and communicate solutions to customers.
• Program and configure fire alarm panels, devices, and control equipment.
• Complete service reports and documentation.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service on every job.
• Remain available for on-call support and after-hours response.
• Collaborate with technicians, project managers, and office staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
