Job summary

Fire Equipment Inc. (FEI) is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician in Agawam, MA to service, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems for FEI's established customer base.

The ideal candidate holds a MA/D Low Voltage license or similar, with 2+ years of hands-on fire alarm experience, and has knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations. This field-based position supports project coordination and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of NFPA fire codes and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, inspections, and repairs of fire alarm systems for scheduled customers.
• Program and configure fire alarm panels, devices, and control equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and wiring issues; perform repairs as needed.
• Identify code compliance and non-conformance issues and communicate solutions to customers.
• Complete accurate and timely service reports, inspection forms, and documentation.
• Remain available for on-call support and after-hours emergency response when scheduled.
