Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Field Technician for a contract role in Tampa, FL. You will review FTTH/FTTX construction against design prints, perform quality checks, and coordinate with inspectors and utility locators in the field.

The role requires five years of outside plant experience, the ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of NEC/NESC. Onsite duties, weekend flexibility, and mileage reimbursement are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the outside plant (OSP) construction.
• Ability to read, write and speak English in professional communications.
• Knowledge of FOA, NEC and NESC for outside plant and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate FTTH/FTTX construction against plan designs and specifications.
• Perform quality checks on completed and ongoing field work.
• Coordinate with inspectors, utility locators, and other utility representatives.
• Prepare work orders and document As-Built records; ensure OSHA and MOT compliance.
