Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Fiber Inspector for FTTH/FOB construction and restoration. This full-time field role focuses on quality control, subcontractor performance, and safety compliance.

Work autonomously in the Northwest Atlanta area, review maps/prints, locate utilities, and coordinate with crews and management. Benefits include a company vehicle, gas card, overtime, PTO, health contributions, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

  • Strong fiber construction experience, specifically FTTH/FOB.
  • Wireline telecommunications experience required; wireless experience does not apply.
  • Experience within telecommunications or utility construction/maintenance.
  • Experience with construction engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, prints, and blueprints.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect jobs and worksite restoration to ensure work performed by employees and subcontractors meets quality expectations, customer standards, and contract requirements.
  • Review utility maps and prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Operate electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
  • Contact subcontractors daily for job follow-up.
  • Coordinate activities with crews, subcontractors, Safety, and field management.
  • Assist with resolving customer and homeowner complaints.

  • Daily Responsibilities: Perform quality inspections of fiber construction and restoration work.

  • Coordinate field activities with construction crews and management.
  • Locate and mark underground utilities using electronic detection equipment.
  • Support customer and homeowner issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate communication and documentation related to field activities.
