Job summary

gFiber is seeking an Outside Plant Maintenance Technician in Salt Lake City. You will diagnose and repair issues from the OSP distribution cables to customer equipment, and maintain the last mile plant to ensure service continuity.

You’ll install and troubleshoot aerial/underground cable plants, collaborate with partners, and support downstream network infrastructure. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3 years FTTH/GPON network construction experience.
• 1 year fiber splicing, OTDR and Power Meter testing.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass motor vehicle record check and work non-standard hours including travel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix service-impacting issues from OSP to customer premises.
• Install, repair, and maintain aerial/underground plant per standards.
• Collaborate with vendor partners to develop last mile expertise.
• Provide coverage for downstream network infrastructure and wiring.
