Job summary

Sonic is seeking a Fiber Optic Splicing Inspector to ensure quality and timely deliveries of fiber services. This is a full-time, on-site role with typical hours Monday through Friday, 6am–3pm, in Dallas, TX, with possible evenings and weekends and travel as required.

You will guide contracted splicing teams, perform fusion splicing, and maintain documentation while delivering excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with fiber equipment and splicing tools, plus testing instruments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for field reporting.
• Ability to work with contractors and management to meet standards.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect splicing work to meet Sonic standards and quality control guidelines.
• Perform fusion splicing of SM or MM fiber with various connectors.
• Provide detailed field reports and coordinate with Project/Splicing Managers.
• Maintain and update as-built fiber documentation and status reports.
